How to get full time status
Before each GT season, the league administrators evaluate all drivers to determine whether they will get a full time or reserve slot. Each driver’s attendance record is reviewed and ones that have reliably participated in races will be given full time slots. Most new drivers will join the league in a reserve slot but some will get assigned as full time if there is space available.
NOTE: if you really want a full time slot consider becoming a Patreon and, although still not guaranteed, you will be given priority for any full time slots that become available. Contributing to Patreon in ALR is completely optional, but comes with extra perks like priority placement into full time slots and special events.
Full time driver expectations
Drivers that are given full time status are expected to make every effort to attend all races in the season. Full time drivers have a guaranteed slot each week as long as they respond to the availability post in discord in #gt-t[your tier number]-availability in a timely manner.
Drivers missing 3 weeks of races in a row, or missing more than 3 weeks within a season may have their full time seat taken from them and replaced by a reserve.
Drivers missing 2 weeks of races in a row, or missing more than 2 weeks within a season WITHOUT notifying in #gt-availability WILL have their full time seat taken from them and replaced by a reserve.
Reserve driver expectations
We understand that sometimes life gets in the way of our sim-racing careers and full time drivers have to occasionally miss a race. When that happens, a reserve driver that has responded positively to the availability post will be given the unused slot for that week. Reserve drivers are chosen to race in unused slots based on the order they responded to the availability post. Our goal is to always have a full grid of drivers.
Reserve drivers that consistently respond to availability posts and make themselves available to race (sometimes on short notice) will most likely be rewarded with a full time slot in the following season. Mid-season promotions from reserve to full time are also a possibility if a full time slot is vacated.
